The "Paisley Shawl"

Shibden's beautifully restored grounds, commissioned by Anne Lister and influenced by the picturesque landscape movement of the early 19th century. 
The "Paisley Shawl" inspired Victorian bedding designs of Joshua Major, laid out on the front lawn at the hall.
