Autumn??

Wet weather and colder weather brings those spiders out in the one, spinning their webs. Noticed this one on the dustbin today (thought it was different to dogs, plants, etc).

Bit of a drama today, whilst walking the dogs this morning found some keys, pager, sat nav holder and black jacket strewn across an area of waste grass (looked like it had been thrown down job a hurry, ?robbery). Decided to do the right thing and be a good citizen, so after carefully bagging the items (without touching them) took them to the local police station on my way to work. Got to the police station only to find it was closed due to staff shortages! Got into work and called 101, they took some brief details and suggested I drop the items at the police station on Saturday (when it was next open).

When home at lunchtime, put some gloves on to search the mornings find to see if there was any contact details. The front door goes and it is a community police officer (CPO) asking if there were any problems with break-ins with my car. I told him about my find this morning and he called his senior (he was still in training) after coming in to view the items. Eventually I ended up with 3 CPO's (funny that), looking at the items, taking my details then taking the items away. It appears that there have been a number of thefts from cars locally and the items may be added to items stolen.
