St Francis

Today was the training day for the OOCup orienteering and a salutary experience. The paths were overgrown and the terrain really rocky. It definitely helps to be prepared for the real thing. We needed some shopping so went down to Nova Gorica, where it was very hot, but we were successful . On the way back we went up to the monastery of Sveta Gora. On a clear day you can see the Julian Alps and Venice, but it was that crisp. I blipped a wire sculpture of St Francis of Assisi.
