Watching the river

I went out to grab a quick photo of the Heron but got distracted by this character watching the water. The Tyne has risen significantly over the past few days and it's quite impressive along by the weir and the bridge.

This was a quick break in between watching Eve play football (a well deserved draw this week) and sitting down to get some work finished.

There's a duck roasting in the oven and a bottle of red opened - let father's day begin (well, after I have rang my dad to apologise for not posting his card!)
