Kendal

Day 3 of our mini adventure. Mostly the journey back home but stopped off for tea and crumpets in Kendal. Weren't sure what to expect but it is really lovely. Although quite large, it has a real olde worlde character and we really liked it.
Unfortunately the weather has been against us today, so we decided to head home, leaving us plenty of time to get back for Maisie's summer school performance of a Shakespeare Medley. Unfortunately, the motorways had other ideas and we had horrendous hold ups on the M6 and then the M56. Just about made it home in time.
So glad we did, it was a fantastic show and all the kids worked hard.
However, what this all did mean is that I have hardly taken any pics today, 6 in total, so this is the best.
Now about to wade through the 230 other photos taken over the last couple of days!
