Afternoon Sunshine

Busy at work. Went to the pictures to see Man with a Movie Camera, a 1920 pre-Stalinist urban observation. The film was excellent, the music score very good. It struck me how optimistic the film was, and how egalitarian. It was very urban and full of motion. The special effects seem very naive today, but then they are nearly 90 years old. I loved the moving machines and the human observation. A highly recommended film.
