Hallelujah, Hallelujah...

Sorry about the cliche but he was FAB-U-LOUS!

Just brilliant, his band and backing singers were just the best. He came on at 8.00pm, had a 20 min interval then on until 11.00pm. I'm just back home so that's why the blip is a pic of the cover of the programme and not the man himself.

The couple next to me George and Joan introduced themselves and we chatted a bit before the concert started. To say that George was ebullient is an understatement! He sang along to the songs he knew, grabbed his wife's and my hand whenever he felt emotional and slapped my thigh occasionally too! Unfortunately the guy in front took exception to the tuneless singalong - after all, we had all paid to listen to Leonard not George - and told George to 'Shut the F**k Up and reported him to the front of house staff. George took no notice at all and by the end of the show he was beginning to get on my nerves too.

But in the end nothing could detract from the Man! And on the way home another poet on the radio -Bob Dylan. What a night!
