My Tropical Water lily

In July, a baby water lily flew up with my
son from Texas in a suitcase.  My son
 bought a bubbler for my small pond and planted this tiny topical water lily.  It was a scrawny little thing with maybe three tiny leaves.  Low and behold, several months later the lily surprised me with its first bloom.
What a pleasant surprise!
