"Rage against the dying of the light"

I spent the morning collecting names and compiling a condolence card for a friend who has just lost his wife.

It's difficult to know what to say in these circumstances because people take bereavement differently. I always say you have to find out what 'normal' is again without that person in your life. You probably won't know that for at least two years.

Anyway, I posted the letter and went down to Notting Hill for lunch. 

When I heard this little kid the Dylan Thomas poem sprang to mind for some reason. He's part of the Paddington Arts Steel Pan Group. Playing incredible music on oil drums, the sound is contemporary and sounded specially composed for the instrument.
