Plunging Pelican

It may look like a mere cormorant, but I promise it's a Brown Pelican imitating a cormorant. Apparently they plunge dive for food, unlike other species of pelican. This dive was successful.

Pelicans, Ospreys, Magnificent Frigatebirds...a perfect morning for a dawn walk on the beach.
