The Universal Language

Today, the World, his wife and the family pet were in the local park taking advantage of some late summer sun (Thanks to the Spanish plume) ...

The local Tibetan community were there, enjoying a big picnic and making good use of the shade under the trees. I took a photo of a beautiful young woman called Pena, which caused a bit of a stir and resulted in quite a queue for pictures at one stage! My Tibetan is a bit rusty and their Geordie wasn't up to much, so smiles and laughter became the universal language ...

The encounter made me think about the way beauty is seen by other cultures  ...
