Croquet

Wasn't that a beautiful summer? Meaning today, our one and only glorious day in the past few weeks. It was hot, I believe it got to 29C today.

We had friends to lunch and we could not have picked a better day to have them around. A BBQ in the garden, Pimms and croquet. Luke loves games - board games, card games, all sports and croquet is yet another game that he enjoys to play in the garden. We don't have a proper croquet lawn, just a flat bit of grass that is rather uneven and long. Here he is demonstrating to our friends the rules of the game.

Adam left this morning and has arrived in Bergerac. I am sure he will have a lovely time despite missing out on lunch today which had two of his favourite puddings, Eton Mess and Cape Brandy Tart (also known as tipsy tart, I wonder why?!)
