Hot Dog !

Today it has been so hot and humid here .Come the evening it was still so but the weather forecast rain and storm .I was thankful and hoped they had it right .
Off to Belle Vue Stadium for a fine dinner in the Stadium Restaurant whilst watching Dog Racing . Not my idea this time but that of the person I introduced to the sport earlier this year ,who won £150 with £1 ! Beginners luck ? Tonight they didn't have quite so much luck  but did extremely well .I suggested they bet to win on 'Mary's Magic' .( their mum has this name )  They did and It won . They then went on to win £40 in another race . They didn't lose anything . Hey ho .I simply don't bet .For me the joy is the greyhounds .Like magic they whizz around the track on such slender dainty legs . As we went in I met this lovely four legged lady who is retiring .Belle Vue retires Greyhounds and all  potential  homes are ( no pun ), carefully vetted .The 1st couple of races were in the heat but then the sky turned black , heavens opened  , storm began and the very hot dogs cooled a little.We all did and gave thanks for rain .If anyone is interested in the adopt a greyhound scheme the details are in the blip . As pets they are very quiet , and couch potato dogs .
