I had a good morning in the garden, so felt justified in taking time off when Ithaca invited M and me to accompany her and Mr Ithaca, to an NGS open garden in Witney. It was beautiful, with many roses, and a clever treatment of a difficult, long site.
I came back with lots of ideas, especially about colour combinations, which I know I always play too safe, and getting rid of some of the ground cover - the garden owner said "I only grown plants I love" and I think I should do the same!
