Crabbing of the harbour wall

I took Daisy around Newtown Harbour today, it is a local nature reserve too and there are always lots of birds. We saw a Little Egret and a Heron, along with some Turnstones and gulls, but although I did take some pictures, they were all too far in the distance and I was not that happy with them....oh well means another trip another day ;)

On the harbour wall this young family were having a great time fishing for crabs, the boy on the steps was catching the crabs in the net as his brother reeled them in. Here they are rebating the hook. Their dog was also swimming in the salt marsh behind them.  As we walked past I heard them say they had caught 20 crabs! Rather them then me, crabs freak me out a bit. What a great way for children to spend a day.
