By the river in the evening sun

After a lovely service at Church this morning we took David up to the Angus Glens. We reached Glen Doll in time to have a lovely picnic beside the River. David and Eleanor had a walk up the path which leads on into the Grampians.

We drove back down to the Glen Clova Hotel for a cup of tea. We met a lovely French University Lecturer and his wife, who said they did not have good English, but we had very interesting conversations nonetheless.

On the way home we stopped at the River South Esk for David to see a typical Scottish river, looking good as the sun was dropping behind the nearby hills.

At home now and watching the Cincinatti Tennis Final which sadly does not figure Andy Murray, who lost in the Semis. -:(
