Trail

We had a better nights sleep on the Sleeper, but it was still a bit of a shock getting back to London, especially during rush hour. We gritted our teeth and made it back to Liv St without too much hassle. A fast train and taxi ride got us home two hours after arrive back at Euston. It was a bit of a shock returning to the flat- there was much more stuff left to sort than we'd remembered. We quickly unpacked, but left everything else until tomorrow. Today would have been my Dad's birthday, so we met my Mum and had picnic lunch in the flat before a lovely walk and catch up along the river. We had so much to talk about with the wedding and holiday, and of course memories of Dad. It probably wouldn't have been quite warm enough for him today; he loved the sunshine and could be found sitting in his corner of the garden in the sun whenever possible.
