Jan's 60th!

Jan is my dog walking friend, she is Millie Spaniel's mum. She wanted a King Charles Spaniel puppy for her birthday, but her husband wasn't listening. She also wanted a goose but we thought it was a bit of a risky present.
She always complained that her fig tree , which she'd had for three or four years, had never produced a fig, so I suggested to the girlfriends that we buy a fig tree, with figs on it, to ensure fruit production.
This is what we gave her, it will grow no higher than 2metres, and will fruit in June and September, with the June fruits being the largest. She seemed to like it, but thought we'd be buying a goose!
We went round for aperos. It was a bitter sweet day as her eldest son, who had been here since youngest son's wedding on the 8th, had left to return to his home in Australia today :( but he might be back for Christmas :) depending on the ticket prices!
