Silver-washed fritillary

We had a lovely morning walk with the dog in the warm sunshine (before the bad weather set in for the rest of the day). We saw autumn crocus, butterflies, hawks and squirrels and simply enjoyed taking in the views from our back door.
The size and description fitted the silver-washed fritillary but I am happy to be corrected by a more knowledgeable expect.
