Macbeth at The Tramway.

We were in Glasgow tonight for Alan Cumming's astonishing performance as every character in Macbeth.

It very nearly ended badly for us even before it began. We realised over the Macbeth-themed pre-theatre dinner in the cafe bar that we only had two tickets for four of us - a schoolboy error entirely due to a memory lapse on my part, apparently. That little tragedy was averted though, as two tickets were being handed back in at precisely the same moment I was asking if there were any returns for the long-ago sold out performance.
