Hilbre Islands in the Rain!

Meeting up with old friends in Chester we headed out to walk around the Hilbre Islands, that sit at the mouth of the river Dee. We got the tide times right this time (second go after a previous visit fail) but sadly the weather gods were not with us. It rained. And rained. But we persevered...

The blip is of the water carved sandstone outcrops on one of the islands. You can only get to the islands during a short low tide, and either return quite quickly or stay on the islands and wait the high tide out. We returned quickly.
