Second Children
My sister-in-law had a dog. The dog's name was Scout. She was my first niece. She was perfect (minus the rolling in poop and tipping over garbages.) Then G got a second dog. This dog was SO naughty. Scout tried to teach her. She tried to tolerate her, but Sasha could just not live up Scout's pristine image (minus the poop and garbage.) But, Scout got old and she passed away. And Sasha got old and not quite so annoying.
As I look at this image of my second child walking what was kind of like G's second child, I think that they probably understood each other a lot. Not that E is annoying and thankfully neither of my boys have ever felt the urge to roll in poop, but it's just gotta be hard to be the second child.
Anyway, Sasha has a large tumor on her leg. She won't be with us much longer. G has my nephew now. He is human and there probably won't be another canine for awhile. I love dogs. And I admit, I'm going to miss this one a lot.
