Tentsmuir

I asked Tesco for Pork belly on Friday but they brought me rolled shoulder instead. So last night I found a slow roast recipe which meant sticking it in the oven for 6 hours....so before lunch thats what I did

We headed off in a mild drizzle down to Tentsmuir this afternoon. I was expecting a wet wander but just a few miles from home it was dry :) Hoorah! The place was deserted though. I think everyone else was still holed up at home waiting for the weather to clear.

Oscar had a great time off lead and playing footie with me! Its nice when he is able to run free

On the way back Mr Lif had a spot of bother with the car. When I say a spot, I mean a lot - the gears failed. Thank goodness it wasn't me driving. My first thought was for the roast stuck in the oven!!! Mr Lif revved and managed to get it to move and drove it home all the way in 5th and then donned his tank mechanic hat and had a fiddle under the bonnet. Something to do with balls and linkages he declared and promptly sorted it. He is not a bad sort really

The pork was saved and was delish :)
