Water water everywhere!

A day that started at the coast photographing the wonderful oyster-beds at the Solway firth saw interesting developments. The part of the beach we were standing on happened to be higher than all the surrounding area (not usual!) and the incoming tide came around us - as the tides come in so fast there, we - at one point - were surrounded by water and had to take our boots and socks off to paddle back to the shore. It's never happened before, but left me a bit shaken - no one hurt though.

We then headed back inland to Aira force for the afternoon and had a great time photographing Ullswater and the waterfalls in the rain.
