A sad loss

On our way back from the Lonach Gathering we headed into Ballater for a bacon roll for our breakfast. We did the same a year ago, parking outside the beautiful old Victorian railway station, which you can see here in all its glory.

Sadly the station was consumed in a major fire back in May, leaving the burnt remnants shown in today's blip. It is sad beyond words.
