Festival of Races

Bit of a run through the woods this morning in grey cloud and a chilly breeze. By lunch time things were looking up weather wise for the Festival of Races in Horwich. The races being - running and cycling with the roads closed in the town centre to accommodate the participants.

Quite a few friends taking part in either the races or marshalling, we went along to lend our support and found ourselves sitting outside having a beer. It almost felt like summer with lots of bunting and union jacks, not sure if this was left over from the jubilee or in support of the football. Whichever, it added to the occasion. Don't weekends go quickly :(
