The busman's holiday

LH was getting a bit fed up of life as a mainly desk-bound archaeologist and decided to put his skills to good use helping some volunteers and students digging a hillfort. Fed up with finding nowt on commercial sites, LH ruined it for everybody else and ensured they found nowt on this one. (I am sure it isn't my fault). In fairness, we found a few features, but nothing tangible you can hold onto. This is a view across the fort to the rampart where LH toiled all day in midge-ridden hell.

Came home, tired and weary to a lovely meal with RH who had a relatively busy day out and about.
