Border

Every day since 1959, a ceremony known as the Beating Retreat is carried out between the Border Security Force (BSF) of India and the Pakistan Army at the Attari-Wagah Border. This is the Indian side, 29 kilometres from the Punjabi city of Amritsar. Attari is the last village before the Pakistan border and Wagah is the first village after crossing the Pakistani border.
