Pero's Bridge
Mono Monday: Balance
Well it was very wet yesterday, whereas it was only torrentially wet today. This is Pero's bridge in Bristol's floating harbour, taken at 6pm this evening when the rain finally let up for a short while. Its interesting feature is that it opens in order to let boats through. To enable it to do that, it features two enormous metal horns which operate as counterbalances. When the design was initially proposed there was a bit of an outcry, but the end result is now looked on rather fondly by most Bristolians.
Many thanks for your kind comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's watery blip. Today has been almost as wet!
