Minke Whale

Only a half day on the sea, but what a day.

We had uncountable basking sharks, gorgeous porpoises in flat calm seas and then just as we turned for home the above happened.

I spotted a minke whale from quite a distance so as we approached it was not a surprise to lose sight of the animal. Just as we were milling about, thinking we had lost it, the beautiful animal popped up right besides us, making most jump! Incredble. It turned out that there was two animals and the both came up to us, and swam beneath the boat for about 15 minutes. AMAZING.

What a fantastic end to a fantastic trip!

We spent the afternoon cleaning the boat before well deserved showers and a trip to the pub. A lovely night was had with new friends and I'm extremely sad to be leaving. Edd and | spent part of the evening planning my return.
