2.  a situation in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions

1. put (something) in a steady position so that it does not fall.
2.  offset or compare the value of (one thing) with another.

What a wealth of opportunity with today's MM challenge, set very ably again by  The Aphid!
My blip consists of a very small and rather amateur house of cards, where playing cards are balanced against each other, sitting on a copy of one of the most compelling novels that I have read in recent years: Rohinton Mistry's  'A Fine Balance.'
One of my favourite quotes:

“...you have to use your failures as stepping stones to success. You have to maintain a fine balance between hope and despair. In the end it’s all a question of balance.”  

Up far too late tonight blipping this AFTER the weekly rebooting thing, so I'll look at all your lovely entries tomorrow!  The problem for some of us with text but no images seems to have resolved itself tonight I'm pleased to say!
