Monet moment
This afternoon's walk - a surprisingly lovely afternoon of warm sunshine after a greyish morning - took us through the farmland of the Ardyne area as fas as Knockdow and its artificial lake. Most of the photos I took were distinctly agricultural - cows, black and white against the blue sky or eating brambles on the wrong side of the fence, a sheepdog practising its work on a clump of sheep in a field - but I've chosen this shot of the lilies on the lake at the end of our walk.
I've blipped the view from this very stance before, but in the winter, when the trees were bare and the surface of the water clear of foliage. This profusion of lilies took me by surprise. I've cropped the photo to concentrate on them, though the original was rather pleasing ...
