Bloomsday plus one

I've started Ulysses before, at least once. I think I've made it further this time than I have before, but that really isn't any great claim - we're talking 150 pages here. Like Proust, he isn't a writer to be rushed. An ex-boss of mine read the whole thing on his honeymoon, and didn't even take any pleasure from it.
