Day 2

Again stunning views, quiet roads and lots of climbing! That and the cold headwind convinced us that half a day was enough. We want this to be enjoyable, it's not a test to show what good shape we are in for our age etc.

The Czech countryside is beautiful here in the Bohemian Forest but hard earned by bicycle. I doubt I would enjoy it half as much by car, though. I must admit if someone had come along this morning while we were struggling up a seemingly endless climb, and said hop in , I would have been sorely tempted.
