not far enough

I was hampered in getting some pictures of fringepeople for an intended purpose by the sudden failure of my secondhand telezoom to focus much beyond twenty feet, which will require a pop back to Captain Grumpy's lens-O-rama at some point before next March when the guarantee expires. I shall have to pop back to the shouting and dreadfulness with the 105 at some point next week, or just keep it for next year. With the shouting and the lens and the dreadfulness I was feeling quite misanthropic by the time I got back to work.
