Hay Bales

The club walk today was in the borders, near Lauder.  As usual we started with tea/coffee and scones in Lauder, and then we walked up to Wanton Walls an over the hills and dales towards Scoured Rig, then Braidshawrig, passing Gairmuir and finishing our walk at Blythe.  The walk was on open hill, with quite a lot of cattle grazing which we had to be careful to avoid, but the long views were spectacular and we could see as far as the Eildon Hills in the distance. (see extra picture)

The weather was really lovely, sunny and warm but not too hot and at times a little wind which was welcome.

Walk over, we went back to Lauder to the pub, a great way to finish a walk.
