Raindrops and Teardrops
If I'd had green fingers, the chances are that this would have been plucked out with all the other growth and weeds that sticks through our fence. Spotted it as I was getting into the car to head off for a fathers day lunch with mum, wife and daughter. Great afternoon and ended up in Di Maggio's in Glasgow city centre. Haven't had dinner tonight - but I have had a sleep so will doubtless be up to the early hours.
My cousin is the big macro photographer out of the two of us, and his shots are great. I don't do a lot of macro stuff but probably something I would like to do a bit more often. This was taken with my little point and press and I was really pleased with how it came out. When I came home, the rain droplets had gone - no doubt bombarded with wind and yet more rain during the day.
Father's day is always bitter sweet. My daughter ALWAYS makes an effort but I lost my dad seven years ago last Tuesday and whilst I think about him every day, father's day is sometimes a reminder that I don't particularly look forward to. But today was a good day.
