Father and Me
In remembrance of Father's Day. My father would have been 95 this year but he passed away over 30 years ago. He was in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II and he married my mother just prior to enlisting in January 1940. He and my mother had three girls, I being in the middle. After the war he went to the Ontario College of Art and got his degree. He was an illustrator, painter and sculptor. One of his highlights in in life was meeting Norman Rockwell in Vermont on one of many trips to Cape Cod for the summer. My mother took this picture so many years ago, as my father had the movie camera in hand. He later did a painting of me in this dress from this day's outing, which I still have.
