after the rain

After a damp morning the weather improved. Difficult to know where to go because the footpaths were likely to be wet. We decided on the Thirlmere area and the footpath that runs along the lower slopes of the fell parallel with the Grasmere to Keswick road.

To get this photo of a stream tumbling down from Raise meant climbing up a short stretch of wet grassy slope. I then needed to sit or kneel to get some shots. I carry a plastic bag around for such occasions but today the bag would have acted as a sledge and taken me downhill in one of two possible directions. So a wet bum it was ……… and a blip.

In extras there’s a view towards Blencathra if anyone wants a look.
