A safe place

Rock of ages, cleft for me , let me hide myself in thee...

Cleft- make a way through something forcefully, as if by splitting it apart.

Christ was ' cleft ' - split apart from the Father, in order to make a way, forcefully! through sin. He made a hiding place for me, a way to be found in Christ and with the Father.

Exodus 33:22
As My glorious presence passes by, I will hide you in the crevice of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.

I am hidden in Christ so that I can stand in the presence of God ?
