Foundling Hospital Tokens

Thankfully there are always thousands of new things to discover in London and today I visited The Foundling Museum.  These tokens were often everyday objects like a coin or button and were left by desperate mothers with their babies when they had to give them up.  They were left with their admission documents if they ever wanted to reclaim the children. It was very interesting, moving and well worth a visit.
