Sun Substitute?

When the sun finally made an appearance late in the day, I popped out to walk around the village looking for photo-opportunities.

Making the most of the late warmth was this hoverfly (this type is an Eristalis  and a honey-bee mimic). The bright cheery plant is Golden Rod (Solidago).
