Leaving
After a couple of excursions for last minute supplies (smoked Orkney cheddar with garlic, very rustic oatcakes, several small plastic frogs with unfurling tongues, etc etc) we had to say goodbye and join the Hamnavoe for the return trip to the south. It was quite misty but very calm, so it was a smooth crossing with even a few bonus glimpses of a pod of dolphins.
Then the long drive back to Edinburgh, where DaveH had to unpack and re-pack for an early start tomorrow when he goes back to Blackburn.
The photo was taken from the boat as it was edging of Stromness harbour - we were keeping a close eye on the green bushes in the centre for the emergence of a waving cousin Mouse !
