I remember having been to the Tea House in the Woods a couple of times as a smallish child, but it never really looked like anything more than a place that busloads could be tempted to due to after being unloaded at the Kinema and there not being many other places able to cope with their numbers. Since I moved away it's been through a couple of different looks and styles but has recently reverted to proper tea-housery, which had been tested by parents prior to us all going there. It is unfortunate that its revival is contemporary with the disappearance of the signposts, though one can hope that it will be reinstated with a pseudo-ancient sign for the Tea House to match the other things, though the continued absence of a rheumatism clinic would suggest waiting until the proposed renovation of the spa baths is at least underway, if not complete.
