Gently down the stream

Happy bunny

I met this rabbit when I went out for a (short!) walk late this afternoon.  In fact I met a lot of rabbits,  I now know where it is that the entire wild rabbit population of Winchester go out to eat and socialise in the evening.

This one was just on the other side of an iron gate from me.  The bars of the gate did slightly cramp my style, but I was allowed to move a bit closer to compensate.  I got something like 15 shots of him/her looking pretty cute.  In the end, this was the one I liked best - the last I took in focus when s/he was just beginning to find my company a little too much of a good thing.  You can see how the back has elongated and the scut come up in warning.  And those expressive slightly manic eyes.

I once got a clear shot of a baby rabbit, never of an adult,  And now I know where they feed in number I'm hoping I'll be able to extend this subject.  Which makes me a very happy bunny!

Have a lovely evening.  Friday tomorrow, then a long weekend for us UKers.  What fun!  xx
