A little bit of history

Southern Railway steam locomotive, No. 630, built in 1904 and once used to pull freight trains in North Carolina. The N.C. Transportation Museum in Spencer hosted passenger train excursions this weekend. I didn't ride but I was part of the throng of photographers trying to capture an elusive piece of our vanishing heritage.
