Frivolous?!

While 3D Printers are being used in Africa to revolutionise low cost prosthetics for amputees... I am making plastic hats for my fingers... it's a strange old world...

When I first started full time work (many moons back) there were only two computers in the whole office and I used one of them for Computer Aided Design (CAD) We had a huge A0 plotter that used stubby drawing pens to draw out computer designs. It was fascinating watching the robot arms move around, pick up pens of various line weight and draw out the images. Here we are years later and I'm watching a 3D printer build a plastic hat like magic.  :)
