The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Despite the miserable weather I had a wonderful day sight seeing around Paris. I started the day off with a bicycle tour taking in the major sights of Paris. Our guide was very informative and had fantastic knowledge of French history - I now know all the bloody details of Marie Antoinette's beheading! After the tour I met up with Lulabel and we went to Notre Dam. The absolute highlight of the day! Here is a view of Paris from the top of the cathedral - complete with a hunchback gargoyle! After the Notre Dam we walked to the Louvre, via a cafe for coffee and crepes. The Louvre was almost completely empty! The rain must have taken its toll on all the tourists - l was pretty soggy by then!

I am saddened to announce that Barry Quokka didn't make it to Paris :( He must have fallen out of my bag on the plane because I can't find him anywhere. I'm a terrible guardian! Now I feel sad that I don't have a mascot to accompany my travels - I'll be on the lookout for a new one, stay tuned!
