A bit of a mystery

When we went into our garden three things had happened over night:
This rowan tree had split and most of it was hanging over the drive
The large wooden bear garden feature had been knocked over and, most creepy of all ....
There was a large hoof shaped foot print in my miniature pansy flower bed.

Could there be a connection ?
