Our Fern Garden
Happy Father's Day to all those that celebrated today and a shout out to those Fathers over the pond who aren't celebrating today :) Glenns Dad passed away many years ago in his 80's. I happen to have two Dads. My 'real' Dad lives about 2 hours north on the Oregon coast. My step-dad lives in Tigard. My parents divorced when I was about 6 and my step-dad and Mom pretty much raised me. My real dad was in my life but there were step-mom(4 of them) issues that caused riffs over the years. As an adult, I am more accepting, or tolerant, of his choices and we have a pretty good relationship now. His current wife is, uh, hmmmm...well, a tad hard to get along with but we do ok. My step-dad has pretty much been the father figure. I love them both. It's my step-dad that is now in an assisted living home with ALS. Can get pretty confusing! I won't even start with my grandparents and aunt & uncle...They married brother and sister. Ok. That didn't come out right. My grandpa & aunt are(were) brother and sister. They married my grandma & uncle, who are(were) brother and sister. So, we have double bloodlines. Ya. Like I said, I don't need to go there!! It can get crazy! :)
All three of our kids talked to their Dad today so that was good! 2 of them will be here in the next few days for a visit. Looking forward to that! Our son who is at UofO is taking summer classes so he has just this next week then he's back to the books. Our daughter is coming down with two friends and three dogs tomorrow night. That will be interesting. And fun! The weather is suppose to be pretty pleasant this week so hoping to spend some time at the beach with everyone!! A bonfire may be in order!
Another slow day at work. One of our slowest Sundays. We assume all the Dads took the weekend off for Dad fun. Good for them! Now, BACK TO WORK! :)
I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend!!
Tomorrow is weigh in day.... I think I did ok ???
Happy Sunday
